Installation & Replacement

Windows & Doors

A window or door is only as good as its install — flashing, air-sealing, and shimming determine whether it performs for twenty years or starts leaking in two. Thirty years of carpentry experience carries into every opening.

Scope

Done right, done once.

  • Window replacement and new installation
  • Entry, patio, and interior door installation
  • Proper flashing and weatherproofing at every opening
  • Rough opening framing for new window and door locations
  • Hardware, locksets, and trim to finish the job
Approach

The install is the product.

A window looks the same whether it's flashed correctly or not — until the wall behind it starts to rot. Every install gets the same attention to air-sealing and water management, whether it's one replacement window or a full house of new construction openings.

That same eye for water management extends to siding and trim repair — replacing a rotted section cleanly instead of just patching over the problem.

Antique solid wood door reworked to accept custom stained glass panels
Custom Work

Beyond a standard install.

Not every door job is a straight swap. This one meant reworking an original solid wood panel door to accept custom stained glass panels the homeowner had made — matching the joinery to fit glass that was never part of the original design.

That's the kind of custom carpentry that doesn't show up on a price sheet, but it's the same trade underneath every window and door install.
